“Today started off as every other day, clear the deck of the kamikaze flying fish (an impressive 10 today!) It’s been a fairly easy day, after finding out that we are only 2 days away from Sri Lanka, this kind of comforted me and excited me, as we have got 2 days staying there and I’m hoping to show the crew some waves! My main duty today was collecting ocean samples and we sighted a big ship and another vessel taking part in the Blue Water Rally.”
On his return, Steven said; “The voyage was exciting, seeing the wildlife and different cultures was a new experience. We saw dolphins, monkeys, lizards, fish and a shark.”
“I feel the trip has changed my life, and since I have been back I have been grateful for a large number of things, plus I have been more focused on my goals in life. My future plans are to go to college.”
