Marketing the Isle of Wight

The purpose of developing the Isle of Wight logo is to create a common symbol which visitors, investors and business partners can identify with, and that over time, along with the values of the brand, will say what it’s like to be here.

The Isle of Wight logo symbolises the natural dynamics of the place, it suggests the freshness and constant movement of the sea, a bird in flight representing the tranquillity and the freedom you feel when you’re here, it also portrays how things link together and work together to make a stronger whole and it hints at the vibrancy and vitality of the people and the events.

The messages we want to tell the world are: that the Island is a beautiful place, that it stimulates creativity, that people here enjoy life and we have all the benefits of being close to the South East mainland but without the stress and hassle.

We would like businesses and ambassadors to help us share the Island’s benefits with like minded, forward thinking people who will bring new ideas and new investment to the Island.

The Isle of Wight logo can be “adopted” by quality businesses to show they are proud of their home base and in many cases that it is being based here that helps make them successful.
