Yacht Racing Academy
The Yacht Racing Academy provides young people with training, mentoring and inspiration to become the world class racing sailors of tomorrow. Peter Harrison and Kit Hobday have joined forces with the UK Sailing Academy to create an academy of yacht racing excellence.

South Boats

South Boats is the world leader in Wind Farm Support Vessels and is one of the largest commercial catamaran builders in the 10-24m range. The Yard is a major contractor to the RNLI and is responsible for the refit and repairs to the Mersey, Trent and Severn all weather rescue boats. The company is embarking upon its second phase development which will see a new purpose build yard to accommodate revolutionary new designs in 24m Catamarans for which the company has secured grant funding in association with Portsmouth University.


The Yard now boasts an in house welding training school to equip the Islands youth with a valuable skill. The company is shortly to embark upon a joint venture to train overseas students in aluminium ship building and all aspects of GRP boat building design and manufacture.
