Kathryn Jones, Human Resources Manager

Kathryn Jones works as HR Manager for Gurit, an advanced composite design, engineering and manufacturing company, based in Newport on the Isle of Wight.

For 12 years Kathryn lived and worked in London in the Financial Services sector, regularly working 14 hour days and spending over an hour travelling to and from the office.

She moved to the Island 2 years ago making a conscious decision to change her work life balance and set up home with her partner James.

Kathryn was a little apprehensive about finding a new job on the Isle of Wight and was worried she might not be challenged, but she has discovered that was completely unfounded.

Since joining Gurit, Kathryn has been promoted and given responsibility to work on international projects such as setting up Gurit’s first manufacturing plant in China.
