Jo Grindley, Managing Director, Into the Blue

Jo Grindley, runs a highly successful specialist sports marketing, PR and events company called ‘Into the Blue’ based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

In 1994, Jo moved to the Isle of Wight, and within 3 years she had given up her job working for Lloyds Bank International to pursue a career in sailing.

Jo eventually found her niche and started winning work as a specialist PR consultant. In 2005, Jo decided to set up ‘Into the Blue.”

Now Jo’s impressive client list includes Volvo Car UK, Shirley Robertson, Ben Ainslie, JP Morgan Asset Management and the Ellen MacArthur Trust. Jo now has 7 people working for her, and is planning further growth.

With the great success she has achieved for her family and business, Jo can’t imagine living anywhere else.

Why the Isle of Wight?

“My children have fantastic opportunities and we live just five minutes walk from the beach. We keep a small motor boat in Cowes and love taking the children out on the boat at weekends. In the summer you don’t feel the need to go anywhere else as the Island has so much to give.”
