From Ed’s journal:
“Went to Cairo today (which is absolutely huge) with the rest of the Blue Water Rally crew, which was nice as it gave me a chance to put names and faces to the voices we’ve been hearing over the VHF!“

On his return, Ed said “The voyage was sometimes uncomfortable, I think a lot of us were affected by the seasickness, but the experience and the places we visited were definitely worth it.”

John Jeffrey, Ed’s skipper, said: “The crew of Gipsy Moth IV was young and inexperienced when they arrived in El Gouna. They’re still young, but they have gained a lot of experience. They have learned a huge amount about coping with challenges, and about working with people towards a common goal.”
