An extract from Daniel’s journal: “I am currently sat in the galley of Gipsy Moth on the second day of sailing. The weather is good sun today and we are surrounded by nothing but sea. Last night on watch we saw a brilliant sunset and then all the stars appeared. As there was no light pollution we could see all of them, it was brilliant.”
And reflecting on his return Daniel said: “In Malta we had a great reception, we were even met by a TV crew wanting to interview us. Another crew member, Andrew from the University of Plymouth taught us how to use a sextant to do astro navigation.”
“The trip has changed me, I seem to look at everything differently now. I’m much more patient. I wish to do much more sailing as I enjoyed it greatly.”
