“The Gipsy Moth adventure is a once in a lifetime experience” said Alice.

Her skipper John Jeffrey said: “Alice was very timid when she first joined, but I was pleased with how she adapted well and was always happy to do her share of the many tasks aboard. By the end of her time it was obvious that she had gained a good deal in self-confidence.”

Following her voyage, Alice threw herself into fundraising for GMIV, to help other young people enjoy a similar life-changing experience. Alice was one of three youngsters selected to join Gipsy Moth for the final trip back into Cowes, because she demonstrated her ability to overcome challenges whilst remaining positive and thoughtful of others.
