Our Partners
As the economic development agency for the Isle of Wight we need to work very closely with the private sector and a range of public sector agencies.
We deliver economic development on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, we also ensure the Island’s voice is heard on a regional and national level through our links with the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) and Government Office for the South East (GOSE), helping to shape policies set by government to make sure the Island gets the best deal.
We work closely with other local organisations such as the Island Strategic Partnership ( ISP) which sets the local priorities for regeneration and community improvements and with other public and voluntary sector organisations, such as the Rural Community Council (RCC) to ensure we are all working towards the same goals.
Some of the most important partners are the groups and organisations who deliver the projects, such as the Isle of Wight College who have received funding to build new training facilities and the Chamber of Commerce who are running a project to develop “Opportunities for the Young”.
