Jacky Stevens OBE
Jacky brings a varied business background to her role at the Economic Partnership. She is also Chief Executive of Business Link Wessex (covering Dorset, Hampshire & Isle of Wight)
Career History:
Jacky Stevens has been Chief Executive of Business Link Wessex since 2001 which employs c.200 people across three sites to provide access to quality information, advice and guidance to small and medium sized businesses and start-up businesses across Dorset, Hampshire & IOW. BL Wessex also manages the regional UKTI Team South East operation. Before this, Jacky was Chief Executive of Business Link Hampshire since its launch in March 1996.
Jacky joined Hampshire TEC in 1993 initially to manage the provision of services to start-up and small SMEs, taking on the project management of the new Business Link in 1995.
Previously, Jacky was Director and General Manager of Mordaunt-Short Limited, a medium-sized Hi-Fi equipment designer and manufacturer with a turnover of £6M which was located in south-east Hampshire. Mordaunt-Short was a major exporter winning the Queen’s Award for Export in 1991. She joined Mordaunt-Short in 1984 after running her own export sales and distribution company for 5 years building on many years of experience in exporting, primarily in manufacturing companies. This followed a brief career in banking.
Jacky has a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Kingston University and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Jacky was appointed OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in June 2005.
